An NDC is a 10- or 11-digit number with three segments.
Manufacturer (labeler) code: The first segment identifies the firm that manufactures, repacks, or distributes the drug.
Product code: The second segment identifies the specific strength, dosage form (e.g., tablet, capsule), and drug formulation.
Package code: The third and final segment identifies the package type and size
